afglFootGolf is a combination of the popular sports of soccer and golf. The game is played with a regulation #5 soccer ball at a golf course facility on shortened holes with 21-inch diameter cups. The rules largely correspond to the rules of golf. FootGolf as a game is played throughout the world in many different forms, but as a sport it is regulated by the Federation for International FootGolf (FIFG). The American FootGolf League (AFGL) is the exclusive member of the FIFG and governing body for the sport of FootGolf in the United States. The AFGL is organizing tournaments throughout the country working with golf courses to bring FootGolf to their clubs as another avenue for revenue and to develop the game further.

Founded in 2011, the American FootGolf League (AFGL) is the US exclusive member of the Federation for International FootGolf (FIFG). Also founding member of the North American FootGolf Association (NAFGA) and governing body for the sport of Footgolf in the United States of America since July 2012.
 
The American FootGolf League represented United States of America at the first FootGolf World Cup in the beautiful city of Budapest (Hungary) on June 1st, 2nd and 3rd of 2012. Dedicated to promote and expand "The best game ever invented" in the region, the American FootGolf League co-founded and established the other two FootGolf members of the Federation for International FootGolf) in North America: the Federacion Mexicana de FootGolf and the Puerto Rico FootGolf League and also helped to start the original Canadian FootGolf League in the last quarter of 2012.
 
The American FootGolf League is not a political or religious organization. It's main goal is to create the structure to facilitate and promote the sport of FootGolf in the States.
